Frasers at Cathedral Beach

Overview

Frasers at Cathedral Beach is located 400 meters inland and approximately half way between Eurong Beach and Indian Heads on Fraser Island. Frasers at Cathedral Beach offers a secluded get-a-way for all guest and has the only private camping site on the whole island.

There are a variety of types of accommodation to choose from at Frasers at Cathedral Beach including, eight two and three bedroom cabins as well as camping sites. Cabins do not include private bathrooms as these facilities are shared on the camp grounds.

Centrally positioned, Frasers at Cathedral Beach is close to all major attractions such as Indian Head, Champagne Pools, Lake Allom, Maheno Shipwreck and the colored sands. Fraser Island is the perfect place for a holiday destination.

Getting There

Fraser Island is a National Park, therefore a Vehicle Permit is required (phone QPWS on 13 1304) to be on the Island. Driving is entirely on sand, therefore it is a must that your vehicle is four Wheel Drive.

Barges depart from Inskip Point via Rainbow Beach, arrival onto the Island is at Hook Point which is best done at low tide. Barges also depart from Hervey Bay (from Marina & also River Heads). Barges are an extra charge and bookings are required.

Frasers at Cathedral Beach is located on the Eastern Beach, 10 Kilometers north of Eli Creek.

1 Bedroom Cabins and Camp Sites
Accommodationa and rooms available include two bedroom cabins, three bedroom cabins and spacious level camp sites.

Most cabins do not include a private bathroom, the bathroom facilities are shared with both the cabins and the camp grounds.

Each of the cabins include the following features own kitchen (including full fridge / freezer, 4 burner gas stove top, grill and microwave), private veranda, private outdoor table and chairs, linen is supplied EXCEPT for beach towels.

Car Parking

Car parking is accessible only by guests staying within the Park grounds, a deposit is payable for accommodation keys and vehicle entry tags, which is refunded upon checkout.
