I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is excellent with the beach across the road and the mall near by. There is an nice bistro down the road called Kurrawa Surf Club. The indoor and outdoor pools were great. I loved the Tennis court. The only problem was the bedroom on the eastern side only had a small window and and fan that wasn't that effective. I was very difficult to sleep at night after a hot day. There is a Bus Stop around the corner and the Reception and Security is Great.

Very spacious unit but were a bit disappointed that our request for bedding configuration could not be met. Mattress in main bedroom was very firm would benefit from option of pillow top for this bed.

We found that reception had no flexibility and apart from one lovely lady who was new there, everyone else seemed very abrupt. One of the reason we chose the hotel was because of the wading pool. However the wadding pool was over my childs head so the pool area was not very effective for our family.

I agree with another review and cant understand why this hotel had 4.5 stars. I was so looking foward to staying here as on the internet the pictures of the rooms look very modern and clean and our room was old, rundown and a bit dirty. And there was a bit of a smell. I would reccommend when booking asking for a renovated room.

Liked: the pool area was nice but a bit too much shade and the size of the apartment was good.

The hotel was advertised as a modern 4star plus. we thought it was three star and very dated. very different to the pictures on the internet. quite disappointed.

great apartment - really spacious, well equipped. Friendly helpful desk staff.
a couple of reported a couple of small repairs needed (not a problem for us - but needing attention. A heated outdoor pool and fine weather would have made our stay perfect!

We stayed in a three bdrm appartment. Great location, sensational views, well appointed and very clean. We were there during recent storms with two young children and the indoor pool, foxtel and dvd were a godsend. The outdoor areas such as tennis court, pools and bbq looked great (shame we didn't get to use them due to weather).

My Family and I have stayed at Carmel By The Sea before.We love it.It is just beautiful,has great facilities.Prime location-close to shops , beach & the park.The three bedroom apartment was so spacious.

The property was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. The facilities were cleaan at all times.
We were there in the recent storms and there was a blackout. In this instance there was no torch or candles nd so we were in the dark for a considerable amount of time. The blackouts are out of the control of owners but some sort of back up lighting such as a torch would have been handy.
I use a wirless laptop and it was a nuisance to have to be only able to use it in the foya. There should be access from the rooms.

We stayed in room 27 on the 6th floor, which had a wonderful view of the beach and out the back a wonderful view of the pool. But I can't for the life of me see how this place got 4 and a half stars maybe like a few years ago but now it is just run down. The pools were awesome, outside during the day, inside pool and spa for night and it also had a sauna, steam room and gym

Carmel By the Sea is our favourite. great for Families. Close to everything. Appartments are luxury plus.

Stayed for 2 weeks in a 3 beedroom appartment. liked indoor pool great for children. very over priced appartments need to be renovated. Also staff are rude.
