Visitor Review

This was our family's second visit to Ian and Jen's peice of paradise over the christmas period. We love it here. The wildlife, hand fed the dolphins, koals, pool, the other guests, location, fishing...it goes on. You can do as little or as much as you want.....This place is magical, the only downside is having to leave. Thanks again guys.

We loved the facility of the Straddie bungalows, especially, we enjoyed outdoor poor which was setted greatly and fishing area at the back yard. The room was all comfortable, Kukaburra lodge where we stayed in had great barbeque machine outdoor with those tables and chairs.
I want to appriciate for the generous hospitality of the manager of Straddie Bungalows.

My partner and I loved this place! Everything was so special...we fished off the jetty till early hours of the morning watching the dolphins play! Also, I have never been to a place with such friendly owners, it was wonderful to be able to stay in a beautiful place and not feel like you are just another pay check. We enjoyed chatting with the owners, they are very kind-hearted and down to earth. My partner and I (should I say finance) wish to come back at least every year...after all we love this place and it was where we got engaged!

If you are wanting to unwind and get away from the rat race, this is it, just bring your towel, swimmers, fishing rod and bottle of wine for the gorgeous sunsets on the jetty. Even my teenagers are eager to ditch their consoles/computers and go back for beach driving, swimming, fishing and sleeping. We love Straddie Bungalows, Thanks Ian and Jen

What a place, warm welcome on arrival, stunning setting. Everynight the Dolphins came for a swim under the jetty, we were very lucky to see wild Koalas in the trees. It was everything we expected and more, making our first Christmas in Australia a unique experience. We have booked again for 2009.

It was my 5th stay at the bangalows. The only thing that has improved is quality of linen.
Disapointed with cleanliness. Cobwebs inside, outside areas untidy, furniture damaged, bbq filthy.
1 roll of toilet paper supplied for 6 people staying 3 nights. Bathroom was in seperate building (had no problem with that)but not cleaned once during our stay. Should have a rubish bin at the jetty. Owner not interested in guests. Place lucks the personal touch it had with previous owners.
I hope the new owner improves with time. Location is fantastic and that may take me there again.

We spent 3 days here and loved every minute. We especially love the jetty as the fishing was great, not to mention the great nature show with schools of dolphins, manta ray, spotted shark, mackerels not forgetting the beautiful birds and last but not least we spotted the koala in the gum tree near our bungalow. We will be back soon! In the meantime all the best to Ian and Jen.
