Istayed here for 2 months visiting my daughter who had been living there since October. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome. It was home from home for me. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Whitsunday Terraces Reviews

Could have been better. Booked a 1 bedroom self contained unit. on arrival there was no kitchen facilities as discussed when booked. Air conditioner not working. Was given another unit when requested. which had cooking facilities although very basic. I needed to purchase a frying pan as the only one available was a huge electric one that was unsuitable unless you were feeding an army. Minimal utensils, only knife was a bread knife.

Very poor lighting in lounge area. Unable to read newspaper or book after dark unless retired to bedroom. No insect screens so unable to keep sliding door open for fresh air

We stayed at the resort for 7 night and in that time we had a ball. With the resort being in the centre of town it was easy to get around to the local shops and pubs. Having said that we did have a couple of parties held in the room adjacent to ours but the hotel staff were quick to address this by asking them to quieten down when we rang through.

When I made the reservation I asked for two single beds. When we arrived in the room there was one queen bed. When I called reception I was told, flippantly, that the couch folded out to a double bed. We then looked for extra sheets, of which there were none. I paid for two single beds, not one queen bed and one uncomfortable hideabed. One of the light fixtures had a three bulb design. There were only two bulbs in the fixture. The shower curtain looked to be about 10 years old - the colour was white but it was clearly dirty down at the bottom.

Liked: The white cockatoos hanging out on the balcony.
Disliked: The uncomfortable hideabed.
