Sea World Resort

What a sensational family holiday. the entire place was such a great experience. the staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant /smorgasborg was the best - kids loved the breakfasts as did the adults. didnt realise we had to book for the seafood buffett so missed out. everyone said is was the best that went. room was great. grounds lovely and just a hop skip across and you are in sea world itself each morning.

Had a wonderful stay here with my partner and our 3 kids. The rooms were spacious and clean, the kids club a godsend and the japanese restaurant of a high standard. All just walking distance to Seaworld, which the kids loved and it saved the headache of getting home via public transport or car. The gym was a bit small but has several treadmills. Was also a shame it wasn't hot enough for the pool, cause it looked like hours of fun for the kids and the spa a nice treat for the adults. Also had a massage in-room, which was divine. And the breakfast buffet was delicious, with a suprise visit from Sesame Street characters.

Liked: The whole experience.

We spent 3 nights at Sea World Resort for a weekend conference. Unfortunately the weather was terrible the whole time we were there (pouring rain, flooding and storms) so this made doing anything like going in the pools or water park after at the end of our conference impossible. They had closed the water park due to the rain. The spa had also broken down for the weekend.

We had booked a family room with a kitchenette. Unfortunately the room they gave us was VERY poor and was dirty, drab and dreary. There was mould and rust throughout the bathroom, the mirror was coming off the wall and the freezer had frosted over.

Upon complaining the manager finally agreed to give us another room, however he made it sound that he was doing us a massive favour!

During our first night the freezer in this new room defrosted and leaked all over the floor. There were no toasters in the room (which I had presumed a kitchenette would have) and the food at the resort was very average and quite over-priced. There also wasn't much choice on food and unless you wanted to pay $70pp for a buffet meal you had to go the the cafe with about 10 choices on the menu! As we had no car we could not leave the resort to get meals from anywhere else. In addition to the the room service charged a silly fee of $5.50 for each order.

However, most of the staff where friendly and the resort shop (although expensive) did supply all the essential items.

As it was very wet the resort was very crowded on the weekend we went. I am sure that it would have made a better experience if the weather was nicer.

Our family had an interconnecting room which was great for the kids and adults, enough space for the six of us without us being on top of each other. Resort staff were nothing but friendly and helpful. Restaurants were a little expensive but certainly did not take away from our holiday. We had a great time and would certainly return, no problems.

Liked: Children enjoyed the kids club, parents enjoyed a bit of quiet time.
Disliked: Mini bars are a shocker with the kids, would prefer not to have them.

Enjoyed stay and in particular was most impressed by the compassionate and caring attitude of one staff member,Katrina who works in the cafe on ground floor. One member in our group was in transit to the childrens hospital and Katrina made his cafe break a most memorable experience. Please pass on my compliments to Katrina.

Hi all, I am a very easy going bloke but beleive me when I say.... This palce is very disappointing. I had booked this place to give my hard working wife abit of R&R ...well it didnt go to plan. Very dated rooms and NOT CLEAN. I have stayed in 2.5-3 star places which were MUCH better. This place is for tourist who come from conjested country ie China, Japan etc and they dont know any better but here in Australia and Western world residence, we expect better and living standards has to be up to standard. We work hard for the $$ we earn and some of us wait a long time before we can afford a holiday. THIS PLACE IS 2 Star. Seaworld is the best....but Seaworld Resort is one of the worst.

Positives:
- No problems with accomodation (family room)/staff
- Water parks were great fun
- Great access to Seaworld

Negatives:
- Very poor selection of food for our toddler(2yrs) only 4 choices of food for kids all came with chips. Would have liked to have seen kiddy friendly sandwiches ie ham, vegimite, cheese. Some sausages and spagetti/pasta, yoghurts and fruit would have been good too! For a resort that target family's you would think there would be a bigger variety for ALL ages!
- Over priced buffet for cold food might have something to do with the 'overpowering' air conditioning!
- No provision of a travel cot

the lobby and grounds were beautiful, the rooms however were fairly dated and required some sprucing and maintenance - particularly bathroom and kitchenette. the balcony was more cement on grass with a couple chairs. the staff were generally of a cheery disposition and very helpful. all the rooms are 1 bedroom though, so whilst the grounds are great for families, it'd be good to have seperate rooms for the kids.


good for people not spending too much time in the rooms.

Everything was awesome!!! All the staff were very helpful and happy to help in anyway, especially the lobby bar staff!! The pool was re-freshing and clean, my sister and i had a ball!!

Stayed at Seaworld resort and cannot fault anything bar the fact of no microwaves and mostly only double beds in most rooms but besides that room 10 check in 10+ early checkin no probs porters and cleaning staff more than helpful even with theme park info LOL front desk was great even coping with me going down at 11 pm to crunch some numbers for our next stay the kids theme pool great the spa great and the lagoon pool just awesome!!!! shoreline is a lil rich but it is all ya can eat even doing a pizza to order on the italian night and bringing it to our table we brought our own wine which they chilled and opened ..no charge would like to thank Kim (front desk) eric (shoreline) Luke (resavations) I knew this was goin to be a good holiday from the moment i rang them as my partner was just gone out for a moment when i rang the resort and he waited (chatted/shoot the breeze) with me till my partner could get back and i could confirm everything ....Again thanks to all the staff at Seaworld Resort WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!!

A nice resort with good facilities. Staff are warm and friendly. The pool and water park are great for the kids. Watch out if you are trying to stick to a budget though. As the resort is located on "The Spit" and is a fair distance from the main shopping area of Surfers Paradise, be prepared to pay premium rates for very "un-premium" meals on-site. Also be wary when booking - a Bay View room in our case meant a ground floor room with a view of a car park and large antenna next door - no Bay in site!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon. It was very relaxing. The hotel is just gorgeous and all three of the restaurants sublime! We also had a divine massage and had so much fun on the Sea-do's! No better place to stay on the Gold Coast. We will be back with kids!

We were really suprised and content with the resort and surroundings.Totally happy.
The roomds were cleaned every day by the friendly staff and the toiletries were great.
staff were very helpful and we loved the distance to the beach.We will defenetly bring our tow children neaxt April.

We recently stayed at the sea World resort.
The location is excellent with a beautiful beach and many facilities We will take the kids back to the resort for sure next year!

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. We found the rooms and the hotel clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the charge for the buffet breakfast at 30 dollars per adult. I find this v expensive, I'm sure they could afford to reduce this price. That's my only gripe though, the pool and water park was great. My kids are 9 & 12 and they had a ball. Seaworld itself is also brilliant.

I must tell you how much Sea World resort has improved. We have stayed before and LAST TIME we had a few hiccups, beds were uncomfortable, the food was overrated, and a few other things BUT we must say how great it was this time, the new water part for kids is unbelievable and access to Sea World Water Park a great asset. The rooms were freshly renovated very nicely and the beds much more comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great and the renovations clean and fresh. The staff seemed to be coping well with the busy christmas rush, maybe a little stretched but expected this time of the year. It is so great to keep the kids happy and the adults at the same time around the pool, to have the Jet skis and jet boat right at your fingertips is great too. We will defenitely be back and requesting those great rooms right near the water and water park.

We recently found out that my wife is terminally ill. Her mobility is severely impared. In June an extremely kind man sent my whole family to Seaworld for a week. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff at the resort & the park, even the monorail station attendant, for the amazing time my young family enjoyed. The room was cozy, the shoreline resteraunt was great. In fact our entire stay was faultless. My 8year old daughter & 5 year old son, now have some happy memories to cherrish forever.

we did not like the place ,and feel we lost money on accomation.staff are not friendly
I kept fruits in our room which were eaten by someone
our cloth bags were digged by someone and my husband's pigama was stolen
no much tea/coffee making facilities,hotel didn t provide much.we bought our own coffee
no microwave even if you want to heat food
smaller hotels have more facilities

My partner surprised me with a night at your resort on Thu 09/10/08 for my birthday. Our Bayview room overlooked the coast guards carpark, the teaspoons were used, the toiletries had hair in them, the bed sheets were ripped, we dined at Shoreline Restaurant where the food was tasteless and the seafood was off (which kept us up most of the night being sick). After many years of being a travel agent I was horrified at the lack of standards in this hotel.

Hi,
I was very excited with your website. It basically catered for all our needs. I have a 22 month old and what you offered was superb - in theory. We checked in on the 20th and were told quite rudely there was no early checkin. Most hotels allow for this. Once Checked in - We were placed next to what we later found out - your staff trainees. I actually have nothing against the kids - but management should not be placing families with young children next door to these kids. I had trouble putting the little one to sleep before 11:30 - Midnight as well as resting both myself and my husband. This was meant to be a restful holiday. I can honestly say that this is not the place of leisure I would be recommending to any of my Family, Friends or Work Colleagues. The trip in itself was wonderful - the accommodation was appalling. Will never be staying there again. I hope this serves as constructive feedback at least I am letting you know why we will never stay there again - as to the other families we spoke to during our stay - you've lost them as customers already.

We stayed on Friday 20/06/08 for the night, my husband was part of the Telstra Conference. I was very impressed with every staff member we came accross. They were all very well trained, courteous and friendly. I have 26 years hospitality experience and could not fault anything. The seafood buffet had a lot of variety and was good value, the breakfast buffet had a wide choice as well. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at SeaWorld. I will be recommending it to all of my family,friends and work mates. The staff are a credit to all Management. We will return, can you please pass on our appreication to all staff for a truly wonderful experience.

This is one of the best family hotels we stayed in. The staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of the things to do when the park is not open.
